Action Figure Review Wednesday - Infinite Crisis Series: 1 Mongul

Hello!

Finally getting back to reviews again and today we are going to do a review of Mongul, from the Infinite Crisis line.

First, this figure is big. Like really big for a figure. But even big cool looking figures have big problems.

And all the pictures of the figure can be found at the bottom.

Mongul looks really cool, the paint is nice and the sculpt of the figures face and muscles is good as well. Its definitely Mongul II as the costume is the updated one and not the originals. And again the size of the figure is good and intimidating and it looks great next to others in the Marvel Legends line and DC Superheroes set.

But that is really all that is good about the figure that I can think of to say. The figure has practically zero articulation, he can rotate at the wrist, the waist, the shoulders, to a sitting position at the hips and the neck.

Thats it.

I’m actually disappointed in it. If you’ve read any of my past reviews, I’m all about articulation. But in looking at the figure, it doesn’t feel like a toy, it feels more like a soft statue and nothing more. So personally I can’t really recommend this figure to anyone, it wasn’t cheap, got mine from my LCS for about 20, although it probably can be found for a little less on the web and plus, within an hour I discovered the Mongul’s left foot had a strange problem.

It falls right out of the socket, some how in its packaging it wasn’t sealed correctly and now I run the risk if I don’t pay attention that I may someday lose the damn things left boot. Bah.

Mongul you have conquered planets, but in my house your a one footed man in an ass kicking contest with Superman.

Find it if you love it here. If not stay away and wait for a better one eventually in the DC Universe line.
