Sorry for the late review folks but needed to find something new and interesting to review in the first place. So today we are going to talk about the new Hasbro Marvel Legends Wave 3 Hydra Soldier Figure. This figure is actually one of the first henchmen figures we have gotten from the Marvel Legends line, not counting the huge Sentinel BAF, and it comes in a standard face and a grimacing yell face variant figure. At least, I think its a variant figure, I’ve only seen two of this figure so far, and one was the normal face and one was the yelling.

But lets get into the figure and see how it is.First, the overall look of the figure is good. The uniform is spot on and just the right color of green so its not too dark and not too light. Its a very comic booky hue. The angry and normal faced Hydra are also very cool, specially for someone like me who is making a comic cause it allows you the ability to help the character convey more then one static emotion, much like the SOTA Street Fighter figures did with multiple heads and hands.

The complete body of the figure is pretty decent. The sculpt hides many of the joints very well although the figure doesn’t have an amazing amount of joints like some figures, as it is missing them in the hands and the toes.

So total joints on the figure are, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, ball joints, knees, and ankles. One complaint I do have is the fact that the newer Marvel Legends don’t have holes in their feet and back for the older holders to help them stand up. I know they don’t come with those anymore but I do wish they did or at the very least had the spaces to use the older ones from former figures.

Otherwise, other then the two guns he comes with, the figure is fairly simplistic, but a welcome addition to the lineup, and I would love to get an AIM figure henchmen at some point in the future too. So grab the Hydra figure if you want underlings for your Red Skull and Baron Zemo to order around.
